A brief Biography
I am Joy Deep Nath, just-out-of-college entrepreneur, who just graduated from Dept. of Computer Science and Engg., IIT Kharagpur with Dual Degree (B.Tech + M.tech in 5 years). In the next paragraph, I will try to sum up a brief biography of myself.
I was born in Kolkata (and am a bengali by birth). When I was 3 months old, I was taken to Dewas (an industrial town near Indore) in western Madhya Pradesh where my father worked (still works) at a central government security press. I spent my initial years till Grade 1 at Dewas (St. Marys Convent, Dewas) at which point my father asked me if I wanted to study in a boarding school. He had come across Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Peeth (SSSVP), Kozhikode, Kerala through a family friend and had learnt that it was good. He fancied sending his son to a good boarding school. Me being curious and adventure loving and most importantly a risk taker; instantly agreed upon the idea. Despite resistance from mother, I ended up joining SSSVP in Grade 2. Then began my journey of life, at the age of 6. I thoroughly enjoyed, learnt important lessons of life for the next 9 years till Grade X, then I got back to Dewas. I did my Higher Secondary (+2) from Vindhyachal Academy, Dewas, where I prepared for IIT-JEE and got myself admitted in the Dual Degree course in Indian Institute of Technololgy (IIT) Kharagpur, the mother of all IITs.
I spent the next 5 years discovering myself in a new perspective, a more pragmatic one than in SSSVP. I did OK in acads, got fascinated by research, organised and grew Kshitij (the techno-management fest, was the part of the team that grew it from a INR 8 Lakh fest to INR 1 Crore fest in 4 years). I got a bit of international exposure too; I was at University of Illinois @ Urbana-Chamapign (UIUC) (as a research intern in summer of 2006) and Barclays Capital, Singapore (intern - Technology Analyst in summer of 2007, from where I had a Pre-Placement Offer too). Life @ IIT Kharagpur, gave me a broad perspective of things. I met a lot of good people, made long lasting friendships and special relationships. At the end of my stay here, I have decided to start a venture with my close buddies/wingmates/batchmates/classmates (Mayank, Udit and Arpit)-Intinno Technologies. We have also been joined by our classmate Umang and are very excited about it. We are pretty passionate about Intinno, and are thoroughly immersed in it.
I find that there is something that life has to offer everyday. There are new things to learn everyday and new things to do. I believe in re-inventing myself on a regular basis. I like changes and challenges. I would be caught dead if my life ceased to change and possibly improve. And yes above all, I am team man, I take my pack along.
